Which piece is your favorite?
I think mine is the black coral branch cuff.

Let's celebrate World Oceans Day....

We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch - we are going back from whence we came.

Is there such a thing as Coastal Inspired Shoes??

So - this post is a little off topic...but it does include nautical stripes, canvas, jute and bright red...so I guess you can say these espadrilles are "coastal inspired" shoes for the summer.

I'm known amongst my friends, family and others...for my shoe habit collection obsession fondness. It surpasses my love of a coastal inspired lifestyle and I have a blog dedicated to that...so you can imagine what I'm saying here.  I'm talking I love flip flops, sandals, boots, sneakers, pumps, wedges - if its cute and fits on the foot, chances are I will like it.  Maybe I was shoe deprived and barefoot in a past life...who knows.

So with that - when my new espadrilles arrived today - I realized they contained some of my favorite nautical & sea inspired textures and colors so I thought I'd share them.

They also come in the reverse colors...
And in a pretty yellow....
But I just had to go with the red patent toes....that look like waves.

So hope you enjoy my "coastal inspired" shoes...now I am wondering - what in the world should I wear these with.  Not that impracticality ever stopped me before.  Any ideas?  All suggestions are appreciated...because I can't think of anything else except white jeans.

Pink Pelican Designs....Amazing Coastal Artistry...

If you've followed my blog for a while, you know that I love to feature my favorite Etsy Shops. Some of you may remember my first post on Pink Pelican Designs....a collection of amazing sea shell and coastal inspired artistry sold on Etsy.

I love this shop so much, I just had to share it again.  Pam has incredible talent, I can spend hours just gazing at her creations.  And even better,  she also does custom pieces....I'm looking for the perfect chandelier to have her transform for me one of these days.

For those of you who live on the Gulf Coast, Pam has a space at the Gas Plant Antique Arcade in St. Pete, where you can stop by and meet her in person. I'm hoping to do that on one of my visits this summer.

Hope you enjoy these amazing selections from Pam's shop...

As always, I am having a hard time deciding which is
my favorite,  I think the glass pedestal bowl and the wreath.
How about you?

Decorating with coral inspired touches....

One of my favorite online shops for coastal inspired decor and accessories is Seaside Inspired.  This shop has so many wonderful things to choose from...all with a beachy & coastal feel.  Coral is one of my favorite decorative touches and I've selected some of my favorite coral pieces currently available in this fabulous shop.

I love the red coral sculpture.
Which one is your favorite coral accessory?

A Coastal Inspired Tablescape for Spring...

It's been a crazy winter across the country...with piles of snow all over the place.  And here we are in South Florida where it feels like Spring is already here.  This past weekend...the temperatures were in the high 70's and low 80's..with lots of sunshine and the fantastic weather inspired me to bring some Spring into my home.

So I thought I'd start with a simple tablescape....using some of my favorite things.  Most of the pieces came from my favorite Etsy Shops - except the flowers and seashells and the wrapped books (from Ballard Design).

I love bird's nests...and I put in a piece of coral for that sea inspired touch.
These flowers remind me of Spring.

Hope you enjoyed this little touch of Spring.
