The Stylish Blogger....

Well, I was so touched to be awarded the Stylish Blogger Award from TheLennoxx and Seaside Style.  These are two great blogs that I read every post...so I appreciate the fact that they recognized me.  That was very sweet.

And with that - I have to pass it on...

And as I understand it - once awarded you have to recognize the blog that awarded you (see above), tell 7 things about yourself and then pass it on to new ten bloggers.  So here goes:

I'm a Florida Girl but I love to ski...

I'm always on the road for my job - and rush around....

I love to travel and have visited 6 out of the 7 continents.  I have hiked Macchu Picchu and The Great Wall of China....I've snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef and The Red Sea in Sharm el Sheik...I've traveled down the Nile and visited the Great Pyramids of Giza.
My husband and I at the Great Wall of China outside Beijing in 2007.
I love my pets (2 dogs and 4 cats) more than anything....
This is Trixie

I love the color pink....
My living room.

For my 50th birthday celebration, I took one month off by myself...drove across country, rented a house and took pottery lessons in New Mexico, drove the old Route 66 from Amarillo, TX to Santa Rosa, NM and took a wild horse photography trip in Southern Colorado.

I'm a closet & wanabee interior designer and architect.  In 2009 I went on a coastal living kick and my entire house is themed in coastal and sea inspired colors and decor.  My pride and joy is that I designed my kitchen and had it built from my sketches.

These photos are before the kitchen was completely done. The cabinets are actually a very soft blue.  Called Winter Sky.  Not as bright as the photos show. I could not decide on the backsplash...and a couple other details...so I will be doing a post on the completed version very soon.  It looks a little different now...I have infused in some red accents and a couple chalkboards and other little details that I love.

Ten blogs to recognize and pass this onto (and please don't feel obligated to do this...your just some of my favorites):

Heaven's Walk
Tattered Rebel
Her Whimsical Musings
My Shabby Chateau
The Essential Beachcomber
Shellebelle's Tiki Hut
@ the beach
Cappucino Cottage
Doberman's by the Sea
Sally Lee by the Sea

Stop by these great blogs....and have a great Tuesday....!

It is always so much fun to find out more about people you really like...and you know I like you, kiddo! I had not seen a picture of you before and you look just like the person that hired me..and she was just plain cute...and had a cute personality.....lol She and I figured we would have been great friends if she had not left the company.

I love your kitchen. You did a fabulous job of designing it and I the color is perfect for a Florida coastal home.

Hope you have a great night...oh..yeah..your hubby? He's pretty cute too;>) Hugs-Diana

Wow, a girl gets sick for a couple of weeks & everyone changes their blog templates... I keep having to double check where I am, LOL!

I placed one of the Sanibel shells you sent on my bedside table, next to the sound machine. It (& I) drift off to the waves every night.

I love seeing the evolution of your pretty kitchen, Debbie. May I ask, what company makes the Winter Sky?

Thank you so much for the mention!!

I'm in awe of all the traveling you have done, what a wonderful thing. Your kitchen should be in Coastal Living or on HGTV - it is fabulous and has many of the components that I want when we re-do ours.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your week and thank you again! :O)

Oh my goodness, is there anything about this post that I don't absolutely love? I think not! It would take a whole post to comment on every single thing I love. So, I'll try and keep this short and sweet.

First, Trixie is an amazing looking cat, I love her face and the attitude this photo shows. I too love to ski, well actually I just fall down really well, but I love it.

Your 50th birthday trip? I would do that in a heartbeat. I've driven across our country from California to Florida more times than I can remember and I love doing solo trips. You are now the only other woman I know who has done this! That is so cool.

And your kitchen? Be still my heart! I love open shelves, I mean I just love them. I've had those and glass doors several times and I love walking in my kitchen and being able to see all my favorite things on display. I clicked on every single photo to take a closer look. I know I've said love way too much in this comment, but here I go again…I love all your goodies — the salt & pepper shakers, the jars full of shells, the pitchers, the wine cooler…well, I don't have to list it all, you know what you have, lol.

Then I reach the end and find you have passed on this award to me! What an honor, Debbie, you are a real sweetheart and I'm so glad we got to meet.

These are my favorite kinds of posts — they teach us something about another blogger and this one did just that. One day we need to gather some friends and do a girl's trip to Saint Mary's, GA and take the ferry over to Cumberland Island to see the wild horses on the beach!

Thank you, you made me smile this morning.
