Window on Spring...

For many of you who are still experiencing winter weather conditions, I thought I'd share from Better Homes & Gardens, a way that you can bring Spring into your home - even if it is still cold outside.

Here's some ideas on how to plant a garden using your windows.....

Pink & Green Roses...

I was so inspired by the roses on Secret Garden Cottage's Can't Wait for Roses post that I went out this weekend and bought roses at Fresh Market to create a floral tablescape.  I lined a blue distressed wooden box that I purchased at Home Goods...bought some floral foam, green and pink roses and moss....this is how it came out.

Even though they're not quite the same as coming from your own
garden - these will do just fine.   Hope you have a fabulous Tuesday.

Decorating with coral inspired touches....

One of my favorite online shops for coastal inspired decor and accessories is Seaside Inspired.  This shop has so many wonderful things to choose from...all with a beachy & coastal feel.  Coral is one of my favorite decorative touches and I've selected some of my favorite coral pieces currently available in this fabulous shop.

I love the red coral sculpture.

Adding a dash of red...

I've recently been adding touches of red to my coastal blue kitchen and I love it.  My obsession love for red in the the kitchen really started with a tortilla warmer I bought in New Mexico, then came a few vintage dishtowels with cherries...and now I've added in a knife holder and a few other little accessories.

So I thought I would share some of my favorite coastal blue and red spaces from Coastal Living Magazine.

The red looks great against the ocean background.
Love the blue table...with the different chairs mixed in.
Red Wicker on the porch?  Divine!
Love the oar over the headboard.
A splash of red adds so much to this room.
What a beautiful red kitchen.
The coral pillows adds a wonderful coastal touch.

Hope this inspires you to add
some (more) red into your home!

Tiptoe through the Tulips....

Tulips are one of my favorite flowers.  They remind me of when I was a little girl where my Mother and I would plant all different color variations in our garden.  I used to be fascinated with the inside...especially the little stems that grow in the middle.

Unfortunately, tulips don't grow in the South Florida climate but I'm still able to enjoy them when they start becoming available in the flowers shops in January.  I had lot's of fun trying out different settings on my new camera and thought, for Pink Saturday, that I'd share the tulips I just put in my living room.

Happy Pink Saturday....
