The Ultimate Kitchen....

Hope your having a wonderful Monday.  Thought I'd share some of my favorite kitchen photos from Country Living's Ultimate Guide to Kitchen Decorating.

The ultimate Farmhouse Sink!!
Wish I had a kitchen door to turn
into a chalkboard.
Open shelves look terrific in this farmhouse kitchen.
The splash of yellow and marble countertops
are my favorite touches.
What's there not to love in this kitchen?
Looks amazing to cook in.
The lower cabinet doors in glass
 are an interesting feature.
Soft and pretty colors.

I think my favorite is the first one with the wonderful sink.  But it's almost a tie because I really love the vintage one (5th photo) with the amazing red stove.  Which one do you like best?

I believe the first one is the best, too. Love these kitchens.

That first kitchen had me at "the ultimate....". What's not to love? High ceilings, chandelier, salvaged architectural details, distressed cabinets, sea foam green accents with pink, the vintage sign for Richman's ice cream? If I could propose to a kitchen, it would be that one!

Wow Love it! The green/black/white and yellow kitchen is my favorite, who would have thought that would be such a pleasing color palette??!!

That farmhouse sink is over the top. I'd never leave the kitchen if that was mine.

I'm going with the first one but I want the pantry on the second photo thrown in. Is this a giveaway? Please tell me it is! My daughter just put a farmhouse sink in....and it is wonderful! Hugs-Diana

I can SO see myself in the first kitchen! It is amazing! And I also really love the 2nd and 3rd shots. Love the idea of a chalkboard door. And I can only dream of having such an organized pantry!! Great ideas!!

The first one reminds me of my grandmothers kitchen. Sweet memories, and even sweeter smells came from grandma's. Her kitchen wasn't quite so shabby, nor did it have the chic chandelier, but her cabinets had the glass in the doors, and the big farmhouse sink. Thanks for taking me back there!

My oh my, what pretty kitchens! There are bits and pieces in each one that I would love to combine into one fabulous kitchen.

i have a large wooden candle holder with the same white-wash finish as the shelf above the farm sink - i love that finish!
and the sink is d-r-e-a-m-y!

Country Living is always so inspirational! My favorites are #1, 2, 3, and 4 (except for all the yellow... I need calm, peaceful colors :)). That was fun, Debbie... thanks for sharing!!
Have a wonderful week! :)

I love the same two you do! My friends in California have a kitchen very similar to the vintage one, including the red stove. They did their flooring in black and white tiles — checkerboard style, it looks fabulous! Their open shelves near the ceiling hold part of their collection of vintage lunch boxes. You'd love their kitchen for sure.

#1. The sink IS amazing. Must weigh a ton..., if it's cast iron anyway.

I like the second to last one with the long metal bars and striped rug (but do you know how dirty that rug would get the way we cook?).

The first one for sure as it's been in my wish book for a number of years now.

I love them all! I would take any one really! I look forward to seeing you for the spray paint party. I will be doing the pet party again sometime in the future, perhaps in May or June.

That's easy! Of course I love the one with the warm golden walls and black cabinets on the bottom. But I do also like the chalk board doors and the first photo because there is so much interesting things to look at there! Thanks for stopping by today, I really appreciate it!

Oh I love all of them and could take bits and pieces from each of them. My kitchen is a never -ending project, I just can't seem to get it the way I want it, but these pictures have my wheels turning again. :)

These are wonderful. I'm getting ready to start a small kitchen reno. Painting my cabinets and hopefully some new appliances. I am undecided about the walls though...anyway, these pictures made me a little more excited. I'm trying not to think about the mess I'll be in after I start! Wondered what your opinion is about cabinet hinges? Mine are a nasty gold color and are on the face of the cabinets so they show. Should I paint them the color of the cabinets or maybe spray them an antique gold? I am having the hardest time deciding what to do. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such nice comments. I so appreciate it! ~Ann

I LOVE the second one with the collection of pitchers and chalkboard door.

I need something from each picture--is that okay? :) Although I could live in any of them happily! My parents have that exact farmhouse sink, but in their basement, between the oil tank and the washer!! I know. And a new stainless one in the kitchen. Oh well. Then I need the cabinets from the kitchen with the jade blender, but no glass in the lowers, just the uppers. I have glass now, and a little bit goes a long way when you need to tidy up! The wall color in the last photo is my choice too. Oh, it is so much fun to dream! Linda
