Springtime table ideas...

Well I've been a bit quiet this week...as I've been experiencing some serious computer issues.  I started the week off by dropping my laptop and well, one thing led to another and I've learned a very hard lesson about not backing up your hard drive.  Unfortunately, my hard drive was shot and I lost 5 years of photographs, music, books, papers, all my contacts...well the list goes on and on.

So I bought a new laptop and have sent my old hard drive off to this place in California that Apple referred me to...in hopes that they can recover my photographs.  The rest I can eventually replace but I've been heartbroken about losing all my photos.  This is a big lesson learned...and now I will be backing everything up on a regular basis. I'm not very computer savvy so I didn't realize how important backing up your hard drive is.  Well - I know now.

So anyway - onto more pleasant subjects...Spring table decor. I thought I'd share some beautiful coastal accessories from Williams-Sonoma's new catalog.

Hope you enjoyed browsing this awesome coastal collection. Now I'm off to catch up on reading all my favorite blogs.  Have a great Sunday!!

Oh, I'm so sorry you lost your stuff! I hope they can recover it!. I really, really need to back mine up.

Love the coastal vibe of all of these photos. You can probably tell from my shop that I'm getting in a beachy mood. I've pulled my summer/beach photo props out and have been using them for my beach cottage stuff. I'm about to do a coastal mini-makeover on my master bath. Can't wait for summer!

I am so sorry you lost your information! I hope you can get it back. My husband is a computer dude and he says you should be able to get that information off the hard drive. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I love these pics!

Beautiful! I can see any of those blue pieces in your house. I am so sorry about your computer. But, as I told you they were able to recover all of my daughter's pictures...except for a few and we never did figure out why those didn't show up...os I am hoping you get the same good news~ and it will be worth the money to have them restored! Have a wonderful day off tomorrow. I am back to wrok on Monday this week! xxoo Diana

I am so sorry to hear about your computer problems. I know how hard that is. Thanks for reminding me about my back up hard drive. Need to make sure it is running, I think hubby borrowed it.

Love those placemats. What a pretty blue. And those wooden pedestals!

Oh Debbie, that's horrible to think you lost all of those pictures.... but I
m sure they can get them back. I had an issue last month but the apple genius clicked a few buttons and they all reappeared in my folders. Now I have taken most photos off my computer and put them on an external hard drive and then had to back that up on another external hard drive. Life is getting too complicated. So thanks for the visual get away into summer decor.

Oh wow I LOVE all your coastal finds from WS, especially the clam bowl, it's amazing!

Too bad about your lap top, there's a trick involving putting your hard drive in the freezer immediately after the crash to be able to retrieve your data from C:, but that's one trick too late. Hope you have luck retrieving your photos, I'm sure they can do it :)

Oh my gosh. So sorry for you. I JUST bought a back up for my hard drive. A few years ago I lost all of my portfolio photos. UGHH. I think about it all the time. This will all work out and I hope you get your photos back.

Bummer about the lost photos - crossing fingers that they can be recovered. Pretty blue table setting. I was a "blue dishes" gal but whent away from it, but I'm always drawn back.

I am so sorry about your computer! I sure hope they can retrieve your photos. I would be lost if my hubby didn't keep up with backing everything up and doing virus scans, etc! Let us know what you find out! I'm here to get some decorating ideas from your old posts! ♥ (I found something exciting at an antique show this weekend! 5 small glass balls! I am so happy to finally have these but I'm not sure how to display them! I couldn't wait to tell you! I still want more but these are a good start!)

Okay first, I adore Williams Sonoma and the collections you showed are irresistible! Blue with white coral? Stunning!

I hope it was DriveSavers in California that you sent your laptop to, they are AMAZING! You know I work on my computer, so when my hard drive went down, it was a disaster. Along with my personal files and photos, I was so upset, but they recovered everything! Wasn't cheap, but boy, did they put my life back together again. I hope whatever company you used does the same for you.

I spent Sunday on Honeymoon Island and the shelling was great! When are you going to be back this way?

Hi Debbie,
I sure hope you can get it off your hard drive too...I couldn't, but I'm sure hoping that you will be able to!! I lost all the papers from my Master's Degree work--how unreal is that?

What beautiful pictures on this post! See the pillows? I used to have that chintz print in my livingroom on pillows and on my dining room chairs--we have the same taste!

Oh Debbie, I am so sorry about your laptop! My husband & I are Apple Dealers in Canada. He highly recommends considering an Apple Time Capsule (it's a wireless router which has a built in hard drive) or at least an external hard drive for Time Machine, since you are on a Mac. Here's hoping that your photos will be recovered! You did an amazing post considering what happened!
