I've been getting the urge to do a little re-decorating in the new year...keeping the coastal theme of course. There's no way I can change that up as I have so much already invested, it would require a complete redo which is just not an option. So I'm thinking a few enhancements like some interesting wall coverings...some new slipcovers and a few other little pieces here and there.
I spent some time on Coastal Living tonight...and thought I'd share some of my favorite inspiration photos from their 15 Easy and Inexpensive Coastal Upgrades piece.
I love each of these looks...especially the orange and turquoise. I would not normally put those two colors together...but this room looks fabulous. And I just love that fireplace. I would definitely decorate it like this if I had one. Wishful thinking. Hope you enjoy these photographs...pop over to Coastal Living for more.
Have a great week!!

I agree orange and the turquoise looks very fun. As for the fireplace it would have to be gas wouldn't it? The shells would be black from the soot.
Love the beachy decor to much. Too bad I can only put bits and splashed into my not-so-beachy Phoenix area home!!
the orange and turquoise is so happy I love it too! I also like the brightness in the first pics. Thanks for stopping by my blog, I've been a busy bee at work, hope to get back to blogging and visiting more regularly.
HAppY ThanKsGivIng!
I have been adding in the orange (coral) and turquoise colors, too, and I love it. They are very happy together and have lightened my mood tremendously!
I can't wait to see what you do!
Of course the orange one stopped me in my tracks:)
Interesting photos...especially since I have several of them saved in my "Coastal Decor idea" file.
Great minds...and all that.
I love the turquoise and orange palette and am waiting for the new Barcelona Orange Annie Sloan chalk paint to get here. (I hate sanding, etc). Our guest room is turquoise and I have always wanted to paint the dresser orange!
I'm looking forward to our coffee date...

Seriously Debbie - I think you should contact David Bromstad of Color Splash. You are in his area & your house would be perfect for one of his makeovers.
The fireplace reminds me of a chocolate cake for some reason. But any of those rooms I would love to have.
I was just thinking the other day about the beach and how relaxiing it is to go and spend time watching the waves come in. These photos just confirmed my feeling for coastal life. These are all georgous.
Opposites on the color wheel - that's why they look so good together, Debbie! :) They really make a room pop with beachy charm! :)
