Holiday Tables & Centerpieces....by Country Living

During the holiday season, there's nothing more beautiful than a dining table filled with festive decorations.  To me, a beautifully appointed table epitomizes the warmth of home that I love to experience during Christmas.  So with that, I thought I'd share some of my favorite tablescapes from Country Living

It's hard to pick out my favorite one...I think it is the first shot because it's so festive.  But really, I like them all.  Here is the link to go to the Country Living section where you can see alot more tablescapes and settings.  Hope you enjoy my selections...and that they provide a bit of holiday inspiration.

Pink & Green Roses...

I was so inspired by the roses on Secret Garden Cottage's Can't Wait for Roses post that I went out this weekend and bought roses at Fresh Market to create a floral tablescape.  I lined a blue distressed wooden box that I purchased at Home Goods...bought some floral foam, green and pink roses and moss....this is how it came out.

Even though they're not quite the same as coming from your own
garden - these will do just fine.   Hope you have a fabulous Tuesday.

A Tablescape to ring in the New Year

Okay - I'm already thinking about ideas to create a post Christmas Holidays Tablescape to ring in the New Year.  And I stumbled across this photo in my inspiration book that I had torn out from a past House Beautiful issue.

"Wood, stone, water, flowers...
being surrounded by nature is always
very grounding for me"
~Donna Karan

I certainly echo that sentiment.  Especially the water and flowers part. Those are essential to my lifestyle. So with that, I am putting together a tablescape inspired by Donna's creation...with some sea inspired pieces thrown in.

Here are a couple things that I am searching for...

Unscented Soy Candles

And I am searching Etsy for some really interesting pottery vases in multiples sizes and styles to mix it up.  So I'm hoping to have this pulled together and displayed on my table, right after New Years Day.

Stay tuned for the finished display....
