A Tablescape to ring in the New Year

Okay - I'm already thinking about ideas to create a post Christmas Holidays Tablescape to ring in the New Year.  And I stumbled across this photo in my inspiration book that I had torn out from a past House Beautiful issue.

"Wood, stone, water, flowers...
being surrounded by nature is always
very grounding for me"
~Donna Karan

I certainly echo that sentiment.  Especially the water and flowers part. Those are essential to my lifestyle. So with that, I am putting together a tablescape inspired by Donna's creation...with some sea inspired pieces thrown in.

Here are a couple things that I am searching for...

Unscented Soy Candles

And I am searching Etsy for some really interesting pottery vases in multiples sizes and styles to mix it up.  So I'm hoping to have this pulled together and displayed on my table, right after New Years Day.

Stay tuned for the finished display....

If you can't find the exact planter - you could take sphagnum moss and soak it in water to make it pliable. Then wrap a a planter that has the shape you want. Have a wonderful Conch Christmas <3
Blessings to you & hubby.

LOL! Isn't it funny how our minds work, Debbie??:) One minute we're running around like crazy ladies flinging sparkles and glitter for Christmas, and the next we're planning on spreading Mother Nature's flowers to bring in the springtime. :) I can hardly wait to see what you come up with, friend!

Wishing you the best Christmas ever down there in the Keys with your toes in the warm sand! ♥

Oh...I wanna go with you...you know I do...except I would be missing my little SweetCheeks at Christmas.

I can't wait to see what you come up with...can you believe the talent you have discovered you have since you started blogging? And, each time you do something new, it is better and better and better. I am so glad to have found you here! Hugs-Diana

Hey - looking back at your post. I wonder if you couldn't form plaster of paris around eggs and get those sweet little candleholders. Once dried the eggs would just chip out and you could fill them with wax...and the bottom would flatten out as you sat them down while they were still squishy...before they hardened. OR you can find them already made and save yourself a ton of headaches! xxoo Diana

I am already thinking of how bare our house will look after the Christmas decorations are taken down! I am happiest surrounded by nature, too. Can't wait to see what you come up with for this display. Merry Christmas!!
