A Coastal Inspired Christmas.... by Jeanne d'Arc Living ~ Part III

Clearly I have been obsessed inspired by the Christmas edition of Jeanne d'Arc Living.  I have copied three or four different looks...as part of my holiday decor.  The two previous looks I posted about were:

Paperwhites and Candles...                         A Coastal bird's nest....

So when I saw this in the magazine...I was hooked.  I loved all the little details and decided I wanted to create this as part of my holiday decor.  Hope you like my interpretation of this beautiful vignette.

So I started with a old vintage box that I purchased on Etsy and stuffed it to make it easier to work with.

Then I placed two hardcover books on top of the stuffing...to give it stability.  Before I put the candles in place.

Then I filled it in with some moss.... and started mixing in my favorite goodies.  Here is a paper flower that Donna from My Shabby Chateau made....that was on the wrapping of the French inspired holiday ornaments I purchased from her Etsy Shop.

I placed the two ornaments on either side of the box - with double sided tap....

And then - the fun began...filling it in with some of my very favorite things....

I took twine and a crystal ornament and wrapped it around the candle.  I also put in a beautiful glass bulb ornament from My Shabby Chateau - that has vintage music sheet, seam binding and all kinds of cute little things...some coral, glass floats, seashells, pine cones...

I've made a couple very slight modifications since I took these photos...I put in another pillar candle and added a few more coastal touches...

Hope you enjoyed my interpretation!!

Wow, another stunning arrangement! What a treat to see how you incorporated some of my creations! I love all of the different elements and embellishments that you used. That little birdie is so sweet, and I love the starfish, too! Your home is beautiful, and as Cindy said, you should be featured in a decorating magazine:)

I'm not worthy…

That just popped into my head as I looked at your wonderful holiday decor. How inspiring to mix so many of the things you love and it comes out magnificently!

Yes, it has been cold here and then it warmed up for a few days and now it's chilly and drizzly. I do believe Florida must be going through menopause!

I wanted to be sure to drop by and wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

If I had to pick one word to describe your beautiful room, I think I'd choose "happy." Your choice of colors, the lighting, your thoughtful decor... it's like candy without the calories :-)
