Is there such a thing as Coastal Inspired Shoes??

So - this post is a little off topic...but it does include nautical stripes, canvas, jute and bright red...so I guess you can say these espadrilles are "coastal inspired" shoes for the summer.

I'm known amongst my friends, family and others...for my shoe habit collection obsession fondness. It surpasses my love of a coastal inspired lifestyle and I have a blog dedicated to that...so you can imagine what I'm saying here.  I'm talking I love flip flops, sandals, boots, sneakers, pumps, wedges - if its cute and fits on the foot, chances are I will like it.  Maybe I was shoe deprived and barefoot in a past life...who knows.

So with that - when my new espadrilles arrived today - I realized they contained some of my favorite nautical & sea inspired textures and colors so I thought I'd share them.

They also come in the reverse colors...
And in a pretty yellow....
But I just had to go with the red patent toes....that look like waves.

So hope you enjoy my "coastal inspired" shoes...now I am wondering - what in the world should I wear these with.  Not that impracticality ever stopped me before.  Any ideas?  All suggestions are appreciated...because I can't think of anything else except white jeans.

We should wear dresses more often! That's what I've been thinking....finding cute dresses is another story! lol But how cute these would be with a sweet summer dress! ♥

OMG, these are SO cute!!!! Wish I could wear these, but you know I've got that whole foot thing going on.

If I could wear these though, it would be with a white cotton summer frock (above the knee). I would accessorize the look with a chunky red bead necklace and a red patent leather purse.

Can you tell I LOVE red? I would definitely play up the red, because a photo taken at the beach, with the blue ocean and sky in the background would compliment the blue. The overall look would be stunning!

Oh, they just remind me of the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz, but for coastal lovers. I just want to click the heels and be whisk away to an island somewhere.

These are SO cute! I love the stripes. Do they make them in flats, I am not very coordinated when it comes to heals. :) Actually I am not very coordinated when it comes to walking. :D

LOVE those shoes! I love the stripes. I just bought a blue and white striped skirt from Talbots this week!

Coastal inspired shoes! Now I HAVE seen everything. I love the red stripes with the blue toe. I'd never buy these, I gave up heels a few years ago :( But it's nice to dream! My "other self" would wear these!

Those are all so cute, but I can't wear them that high anymore. Maybe an inch lower for me.

Wow, I sure wish that I could wear heels! I am afraid that I would break something if I tried wearing anything this high:) I think your new shoes would go great with something white and gauzy!!
