Sand and Sea Sunday's at Gypsea Nurse....

I had great intentions to join Cricket's Sand and Sea's Sunday with a post on the beautiful water here in South Florida as I was planning on going boating today.  Well - my plans quickly changed due to it being a cloudy and rainy Sunday so I thought I'd share an easy little coastal touch that I created this morning.

First, I started off with one of my canning jars...

Then I went outside and cut some branches off my bougainvillea tree....

And collected some coral and shells from my stash...

And put them all together...

Oops - I spy a nosy little visitor who is not suppose to be on the counter...

Maybe she thought there was some fish swimming in here...

So I am hoping the weather cooperates more for the next Sand & Sea Sunday...and now, I'm off to clean out my long neglected closet...which the weather has removed all excuses for me to work on!

Have an amazing day!

Such a pretty vignette. Bougainvillea grew in abundance where I grew up, but we don't see much around here. Yours are beautiful.
I see your kitchen photo on your sidebar, but there isn't a link to a post on your kitchen. You can link your sidebar pictures up to posts, and then everyone can go to that and see your house anytime they want beautiful inspiration :-)
Blessings,
Marcia

Love your arrangement. Anything with a blue jar is a winner in my opinion! I'm with you on the weather...we are rainy, cold and miserable up here. The only good thing about it is that everything is all of a sudden so green. Have a great week and good luck with your closet. :o)

You created such a pretty vignette on that little table, Debbie! The sachet with the starfish is so sweet! And the pinks and blues are always an eye-catcher! :) Beautiful!! It was rainy, windy and 50 degrees here today....so don't feel too bad! lol!

What a beautiful idea, Debbie! I just love your vintage blue glass Mason jar, I have a small collection myself. So I just may have to borrow your idea, and use some of our rhododendrons that are blooming! Your "helper" is so pretty! And I am drooling over your glass fishing boat floats. We saw a show on tv last night, that talked about a beach here in WA where you can find them!!!

Hi Debbie - your blue Mason jar looks delightful with the bougainvillea in it...plus seashells!! Lovely little vignette too - you are so creative, my dear. Hope you had a good weekend.

I love what you did! It's so pretty! My bougainvillea isn't even close to blooming. It freezes out every winter, and has to fully regrow every year. Central Florida has had some harsh winters the last few years! I love the arrangement in the blue mason jar. It says Summer, aahhhh!

Your bougainvillea goes beautifully with that jar and, of course, seashells makes everything perfect!

Poor kitty :(

Our rain came on Saturday, it hit the shores in Pinellas County with 70 mph winds. Sunday was gorgeous with a nice cool breeze. I really wanted to hit the gulf shores for a little shelling after that storm, but as you know, I'm homebound with this ankle of mine. Poor me :(
