It’s a bloggerful world we live in….

What’s the saying….today is the first day of the rest of your life?  Well, today is the first day for the new look of my blog.  Well, if you can officially call it a blog.  I suppose I can, because I have 8 followers.  Well, really seven followers since I don’t think it is fair that you can officially follow yourself.  Or is it?

This all started in January, mostly on lark over a weekend when I desperately needed a creative outlet.  I thought I could set up the design myself – not sure why, when I can’t even figure out how to set up a page break properly on a word document.  I know how to cut and paste and I figured that would be good enough to get me by.  The ironic part was  - the more time I spent designing the look of my blog – the uglier it got.  It was hideous. Just awful.  Even if I was the only person looking at it (and I was) ….I couldn’t stand it any longer and threw in the towel.

I found a graphic designer on Etsy (I’m an Etsy freak) and here it is.  Well, it's not finished yet - but it is close enough so I figured I would start using it.  And because I don’t want to put up a post without a photo – I thought I would share a recent purchase from Etsy Shop Flaming June Vintage.  You can find the shop here:

It’s a gorgeous mid century clam shell…which I used to display the seashells I collected on vacation last month in Punta Mita, Mexico.  These shells are so sweet, especially the little baby cowrie shells.  Just love them.

Check out the baby cowrie shell.  I was so excited
when this little treasure washed up on the shore.

The color is more of a ocean blue than it appears in the picture. For some unknown reason the color comes out more like a turquoisey green than the blue that it really is.

I love your sea shell display, and the clam shell dish is awesome! Congrats on your new blog! I began mine in April, with much help from my sister, as I knew Nothing about creating one! I was so worried that no one would follow (other than my faithful sister, ha, ha!), and that I would be wasting my time! Well, I have had so much fun on this endeavor, and have met so many wonderful kindred spirits along the way. I have become addicted to blogging! Can't wait for you to get your decoupage tray, I hope you love it!
